    The science

Covers from L1 to L5 of the lumbar spine area. Extra depth at the front holds the tummy in, thereby creating circumferential intra-abdominal pressure, internally, at the lower spine area, whilst also supporting externally.

Both sacroiliac joints and the pubic symphysis joint are firmly supported, delivering improved pelvic stability.

Airflow warmth is generated encouraging blood and nerves to flow freely through the muscles avoiding spasm and relieving existing back pain.

Wear when lifting, twisting and bending and especially when there's a history of lower back pain.

CAUTION: In common with all belts of this nature worn around the abdomen, loosen off when sitting, and when eating. When wearing in bed it must not be overly tight. Always seek medical advice for severe or persistent back pain.

    Benefits,

    Spondylolisthesis

Spondylolisthesis is a condition where spinal vertebrae slip forward over one another. This is often caused when the crack of a pars fracture (spondylolysis) affects both sides of connection between the lamina and pedicles. Support should be used carefully without over-straightening as this may cause the disc to be squeezed putting pressure on the nerve. Find a comfortable position and use your belt to maintain that position. Ensure the tension of the belt is just enough to stabilise the pelvis but not affect posture beyond what is comfortable. Doing so will go a long way in preventing muscle spasm and supporting the lower back.

    Sacroilitis

Sacroiliitis causes pain at the base of the spine and is often more on one side than the other. The support needed is around the hips.

Fibromyalgia - base of spine, pelvis and hip

Fibromyalgia presents as a shooting pain in various areas of the body. Although there's currently no cure for fibromyalgia supporting the lower back and pelvis may help relieve some of the symptoms and make the condition easier to live with.

    Bursitis

Provided your Bursitis is not due to infection then supporting the groin and surrounding muscles, using your belt would relieve the ache and help prevent further damage to the Bursa. It is also more comfortable to sleep with a pillow between your knees. Aligning the body can both prevent and treat this condition.

    Lumbago Sciatica and Spinal Stenosis.

SCIATICA: Sciatica refers to pain, weakness, numbness, or tingling in the leg. It is caused by injury to or pressure on the sciatic nerve. SPINAL STENOSIS: occurs most often in the lower back and the neck and happens when the space inside the backbone is too small. This can put pressure on the spinal cord and nerves that travel through the spine. Some people with spinal stenosis have no symptoms. LUMBAGO: is a general term denoting lower back pain.

    FAQ's

    1. 1.  HOW OFTEN AND FOR HOW LONG SHOULD I WEAR?

Pain can be 'acute', meaning sudden onset and very painful OR 'chronic' - over a long period of time. Wearing your belt can help get you through those painful periods.

The more back pain you have the more you'll will want to use support.

Remember to use on an "on, off basis" to avoid becoming dependent.
    2. 2.  WHEN DO I USE IT
