- Instantly transforms and corrects body posture.
- Resolves wrong muscle patterning, abnormal scapular motion or scapulothoracic abnormal motion (STAM) i.e. Scapular Dyskinesis, (commonly known as winging shoulder blades and shoulder malfunction).
- Successfully treats all severity of closed clavicle fracture (a broken collarbone that hasn't broken through the surface of the skin).
- Dramatically improves sports performance and reduces incidence of injury.
- Marked improvement in recovery time after strenuous exercise (DOMS).
- Resolves Scapula Syndrome (also called Scapulocostal Syndrome)
- Resolves Acromioclavicular (AC) joint separation grades 1-3 when used within the 10 day inflammatory window.
- An essential adjunct to injury recovery and rehabilitation.
- Managing hyper mobility conditions.
- Successful in managing Scoliosis and degenerative shoulder and spinal conditions including arthritis.
- Use post cortisone and botox directional procedures - proven to successfully repattern muscle motion (available on NHS through surgical budget).
- Aiding rehabilitation and improving recovery time after shoulder and spinal surgery.
- An effective solution where surgery is contra-indicated.
How it works
Design Elements
- Made using light breathable technical fabrics, exclusive to Angel Med.
- A figure of eight style shoulder retraction system is descreetly hidden within a gilet style waistcoat.
- High resistance padding at the front of each shoulder protects nerves and blood supply to the arms when tensioning.
- Specially designed scapula pressure pads over each shoulder blade.
- Strategically placed splinting has been sewn into front panels, spine and shoulder blade areas.
- Cut-away design allows forward arm movement.
- Does not pinch or cut up at the underarms, or compromise blood flow to the arms, or place pressure on underlying nerves.
- Integrated webbing tightens creating an equal and opposite force for lifting the diaphragm, drawing back the shoulders and controlling the shoulder blades.
- Splinting at either side of the spine supports spinal structures.
- An internal stretch belt keeps the gilet in place when tension is applied at the shoulders.
- Stretch side panels accommodate both the male and female body shape.
- Wide stretch hip pulls fasten forward over the hips to stabilise the pelvis.
- Machine washable at 30 or 40C, simply pop in a laundry bag to avoid hook receptive elements tearing at other items.
Surprising and Powerful Links Between Posture and Mood
WHAT IS GOOD POSTURE?
Both Professor Angus Wallace FRCS and Mr Ian Bayley FRCS were instrumental in developing this brace and were two of the famous four who established shoulder surgery as we know it in Britain today.

MEDICAL FINDINGS
✔ Studies over a period of 15years have revealed that by wearing the brace for as little as two days consecutively, musculoskeletal alignment and muscle patterning can be significantly improved, even after removing, muscle memory and posture is retained, although for how long depends on each individual wearer.
✔ Within as little as 20 minutes of wearing, tension in the shoulders and neck disappears. It may take up to two days depending on the severity and length of time the condition has been in place.
✔ As a useful diagnostics tool i.e. for unexplained hip pain.
- An example case, chronic pain was eliminated unmasking an un-diagnosed shoulder blade winging condition, Scapular Dyskinesis a debilitating and prior to this product, an incurable condition affecting a significant proportion of the population, most of whom are often unaware of it. Thanks to the brace, a successful treatment is now available and always best used in conjuction with physiotherapy.
✔ May help prevent the onset of sciatica and is known to alleviate back and sciatic nerve pain.
✔ Improvement in breathing has also been reported. COPD sufferers have found benefit and as a result, have been able to reduce steroid puffer use.
✔ Can improve recovery time for delayed-onset muscle soreness DOMS].

WHY IS GOOD POSTURE SO DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE?
Our shoulder blades dictate the position of our shoulders and shoulder blades have few mechanoreceptors (the means by which the brain connects to them). This, therefore, means that we don't know where our shoulders are in relation to the rest of our body.
Combine this with long hours spent hunched over mobiles and computers plus, tiredness and the brains reluctance to accept us being upright beings (The brain wants us safely down on all fours), generations growing taller, living longer, then you begin to see why we ALL need help with our posture.
