Designed to be used in conjuction with the ClaviBrace or Rider Gilet to prevent extremes of arm movement when recovering from shoulder injury.
This unisex, light breathable gaitor was developed by top shoulder surgeon MR IAN BAYLEY after event rider Tina Canton broke her collarbone. It prevented her making any movements likely to disrupt healing and gave her the confidence to get back to competition four weeks earlier than would otherwise have been possible.
It is designed to fasten onto the gilet and wraps around the upper-arm. High tensile plastic splinting integrated into the gaiter, prevents extremes of arm movement and acts as a reminder not to raise the arm above safe level.
Mr Bayley now prescribes the gilet and gaiter combination to his patients after surgery, thus safeguarding his work and ensuring his patients have the best outcome possible.
Start at the top of the shoulder and measure down the outside of the arm to the elbow. Look at the size chart and choose the length closest to your size.
